Job Function / Summary:

Develop, support, and optimize the data warehouse to facilitate reporting and analysis of enterprise data. Responsible for analyzing source system data, building processes for data cleansing and proper categorization. Translate business processes into logical and physical models to support business requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Contribute to the data warehouse development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, ETL, database design & development, testing, and validation.
  2. Design and build data structures to support analysis and reporting.
  3. Create and maintain processes to ensure data integrity and quality.
  4. Troubleshoot and optimize existing queries and databases.
  5. Recommend and implement process improvements.
  6. Maintain data dictionaries and documentation.
  7. Stay current with BI tools, methods, and best practices.
  8. Provide technical guidance on business systems projects as an internal consultant.
  9. Collaborate with other analysts, programmers, and users to resolve issues.
  10. Develop, modify, and document processes according to specifications.
  11. Guide and mentor lower-level team members.
  12. Consult with management and analysis personnel to clarify requirements and suggest improvements.
  13. Revise existing programs to improve efficiency or adapt to new needs.
  14. Analyze and document system requirements, including data, workflow, hardware, interfaces, and controls.
  15. Research and evaluate software and hardware to enhance processes.
  16. Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by senior management.
  17. Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Minimum Education, Experience & Knowledge:
  1. Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  2. At least six years of relevant experience in database administration, data architecture, or data modeling.
  3. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Power Pivot, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
  4. Knowledge of database administration practices and data warehousing concepts.
  5. Advanced SQL and database development skills.
  6. Experience with ETL design patterns and tools such as Talend, MS Integration Services, Informatica, etc.
  7. SQL optimization techniques.
  8. Leadership skills demonstrated through managing sizable projects.
Essential Mental & Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Physical ability to lift/move/carry approximately 100 pounds, with accommodations if necessary.
