Senior Data Warehouse Architect

Location: Sacramento, CA

Duration: 2 years

Minimum Mandatory Qualifications:

1. At least five (5) years of experience in data modeling, database design, and warehouse architecture.
2. At least five (5) years of experience working with program and technical staff to collaboratively define data needs and technical constraints related to warehouse architecture design.
3. At least five (5) years of experience contributing to the development of technical documentation such as System Architecture Diagrams, Security Architecture Diagrams, and Data Flow Diagrams.
4. At least five (5) years of experience working on large-scale modernization projects involving data conversion and migration projects over $50 million in budget.
5. At least five (5) years of experience maintaining or developing in a cloud database environment.
6. At least five (5) years of experience in data management and data security.
7. At least five (5) years of experience developing ETL/ELT processes.
8. At least five (5) years of experience developing in SQL.
9. At least three (3) years of experience with Cloud Technologies in AWS (e.g., Glue and Lambda) and Snowflake.
10. At least three (3) years of experience working on large-scale modernization projects involving data conversion and migration, designing and creating raw, integration, and presentation layers.
11. At least three (3) years of experience working with Unemployment Insurance and Disability Insurance data.
12. At least five (5) years of experience designing and optimizing data warehouses and data lakes.
13. At least five (5) years of experience automating workflows and data pipelines.
14. At least five (5) years of experience identifying bugs and bottlenecks, optimizing ELT/ETL pipelines.
15. At least five (5) years of experience working with JSON, API, CSV, SQL, and Parquet files.
16. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, math, or a related field. Equivalent experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.

Desirable Qualifications (Highly Desired):

1. Seven (7) or more years of experience in data modeling, database design, and warehouse architecture.
2. Seven (7) or more years of experience working with program and technical staff to define data needs and constraints.
3. Seven (7) or more years of experience contributing to technical documentation such as system and security architecture diagrams.
4. Seven (7) or more years of experience working on large-scale modernization projects involving data migration over $50 million.
5. Seven (7) or more years of experience in cloud database environments.
6. Seven (7) or more years of experience in data management and security.
7. Seven (7) or more years of experience developing ETL/ELT processes.
8. Seven (7) or more years of experience developing in SQL, including translating between different SQL versions.
9. Five (5) or more years of experience with Cloud Technologies in AWS (e.g., Glue and Lambda) and Snowflake.
10. Seven (7) or more years of experience designing and optimizing data warehouses and lakes.
11. Seven (7) or more years of experience in automating workflows and data pipelines.
12. Seven (7) or more years of experience in debugging and performance optimization of ELT/ETL pipelines.
