RedRock Consulting is seeking an experienced Head of Data & Analytics to lead a newly established function, shaping the data strategy, governance, and capabilities needed to enable confident, data-driven decision making.

Working with technology, business and executive stakeholders, you will deliver meaningful reporting and analytics, translate complex requirements into scalable solutions, and lead a high-performing Data & Analytics team.

Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Head of Data & Analytics to lead and mature a newly established function. You'll shape the data strategy, strengthen governance, and build the capabilities and culture needed to enable confident, data-driven decision-making.

Working closely with technology, business, and executive stakeholders, you'll deliver meaningful reporting and analytics, translate complex requirements into scalable solutions, and lead a team of data professionals. This is a strategic yet hands-on role requiring strong technical credibility, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

  • Develop and deliver a business-aligned data strategy with a clear roadmap for implementation and adoption.
  • Establish robust data governance frameworks covering data quality, security, compliance, and organisational standards.
  • Lead the delivery of high-quality reporting, dashboards, and analytics that provide actionable insight for senior stakeholders.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Data & Analytics team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
  • Act as the senior point of contact for data and analytics across the business, translating complex requirements into practical solutions.
  • Evaluate, implement, and optimise data platforms, tools, and technologies that improve data collection, processing, and analysis.
  • Own governance of core reporting and data platforms, including testing, rollout, and adoption of new capabilities.
  • Define and monitor KPIs that measure the success of data initiatives and identify opportunities for further improvement.
  • Build strong relationships with executive, business, and technology stakeholders to drive engagement and establish a community of practice around data.
  • Stay current with emerging trends in data management and analytics, introducing best practice to strengthen organisational capability.
  • Proven experience leading Data & Analytics functions, with responsibility for strategy, governance, and business-wide delivery.
  • Strong background in developing and implementing enterprise data strategies aligned to organisational objectives.
  • Experience establishing and maturing data governance frameworks, including data quality, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrable success delivering executive reporting, dashboards, and analytics that support strategic decision-making.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and growing high-performing teams within a data-focused environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and translate complex data requirements into clear business outcomes.
  • Experience selecting and implementing data platforms, reporting tools, and analytics technologies.
  • Strong understanding of KPI development, performance measurement, and data-driven operational improvement.
  • Technical credibility across modern data and analytics environments, with the ability to balance strategic leadership with hands‑on decision‑making.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with a passion for building a collaborative, data-driven culture across the organisation.
