Job summary

Hoare Lea’s multi-disciplinary data team seeks a Data Analyst/Scientist or Senior Data Analyst/Scientist to turn data into actionable insight for engineering services.

You will work across the full lifecycle, from understanding stakeholder needs to communicating findings and delivering client-ready analytics, tools and forecasts. The role blends exploratory analysis with dashboards and repeatable data products.

Qualifications

• Experience applying data to real-world business or engineering problems.
• Ability to translate ambiguous questions into analytical problems.
• Strong Python for data manipulation and data science.
• Proficiency in SQL and data governance practices.
• Experience with data visualization frameworks (PowerBI).
• Experience with ML/AI approaches is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Understand stakeholder needs and translate questions into analytical problems.
• Develop and implement data-driven solutions across the company.
• Use SQL, Python and analytical tools to explore data and extract insights.
• Apply statistical methods, forecasting, ML and AI where value is added.
• Collaborate with product and software teams to build reusable data tools.
• Develop reproducible analytical code with version control and testing.
• Share approaches and good practices to raise analytical standards.
