Job summary

DVSA seeks a data analyst to lead and support data-driven change across the Digital and Data directorate in the pursuit of safer, more sustainable mobility. The role focuses on turning patterns in data into organisational insights and supporting decision-making across service and product teams.

You will work with multiple data sources, applying analytical tools and techniques while upholding data ethics, and contribute to delivering new data services aligned with the department’s strategy.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of data analysis techniques, use cases and impact, plus relevant tools/technologies.
• Ability to handle and analyse large and complex data sets.
• Experience in scoping, designing and delivering data analytics outputs/products.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support DVSA by using data analysis to create change and develop data models and reports.
• Engage with Service and Product owners to define data analysis requirements and inform decisions.
• Explore data using analytical tools and techniques, ensuring ethical use of data.
• Lead and participate in data analysis initiatives and support delivery of new data services.
