Job summary

Daily Mail is seeking a Senior Data Analyst in Customer Intelligence to own the weekly reporting cadence and liaise with the central Data & Insights team. The role translates complex data into business actions, briefing CRM, flagging churn risk, and supporting the 12-week forecast.

You will work with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to shape retention strategies, measure cohort effects, and ensure outputs drive operational decisions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4–6 years in a data analytics, BI, or performance insights role.
• Move beyond raw data to deliver strategic recommendations and actionable insights.
• Hands-on with predictive modelling, cohort analysis, and behavioural segmentation.
• Experience in a subscriber-led business model (SaaS, media, telecoms, or digital subscriptions).
• Deep understanding of retention metrics including churn forecasting and cohort LTV.
• Experience integrating VoC with quantitative data to resolve conflicting trends.
• Cross-functional collaboration with a centralized Data & Insights team.
• Proven briefing skills to commission targeted research.
• Experience presenting to C-suite or Director-level stakeholders.
• Ability to operate autonomously alongside senior managers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain standing analytical view of subscriber behaviour across lifecycle stages and markets.
• Produce weekly performance reports on subscriber movement, churn, CRM incrementality and payments recovery.
• Flag material shifts in cohort behaviour before they surface in churn numbers for senior managers.
• Act as primary client of the central Data & Insights team and translate output into retention intelligence.
• Advocate for customers by turning VoC data into actionable insights for incentives.
• Provide data inputs underpinning 12-week rolling forecast and maintain forecast accuracy logs.
