Job Opportunity: Senior Data Analyst at a Global Consultancy

Location: Cardiff or Bristol (commutable, with up to 3 days remote work)

Our client, a leading global consultancy, is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to lead strategic insights delivery across various business units. The role involves building data solutions, automating processes, and designing dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, and Azure.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead end-to-end data projects, from requirements to insights and stakeholder communication.
2. Create interactive dashboards and reports tailored to different audiences.
3. Develop and manage data pipelines using Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, and SQL ETLs.
4. Ensure data quality and governance across functions.
5. Collaborate with teams to embed data-driven decision-making and enhance analytics capabilities.
6. Mentor junior analysts and support strategic reporting needs.
7. Develop forecasting models for planning and performance reviews.
8. Work with IT to ensure scalable data architecture and automation.
9. Translate analytical findings into business narratives for stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years in data analysis or business intelligence roles with proven impact.
• Expertise in Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SQL, Azure Data Tools, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure Synapse.
• Hands-on experience with Python, APIs, and SFTP data connectors.
• Knowledge of data modeling, ETL pipelines, and governance principles.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, especially with senior leaders.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent data storytelling and presentation skills.
• Experience with process automation and Agile methodologies.
• Mentoring or developing junior team members is a plus.
