Position Overview:

Fractal is looking for a proactive and driven Senior Data Modeler and Analyst to join our Data and Engineering team in London, UK. In this role, you will play a vital role as the client and team lead with hands-on involvement in project management, business interpretation and application of solutions, client communication, insights/results delivery. You will collaborate with your team and peers by developing resourcing plans, managing revenue goals, and contributing to new business development.

You will work directly with clients in a fast-paced environment to address their analytics needs, designing and developing solutions leveraging statistical and advanced analytics methodologies. You should be able to form hypotheses, develop models to support decision-making, and build efficiencies through standardization and automation. Additionally, you will be responsible for building data infrastructure, identifying customer journeys, and measuring marketing campaign impacts.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis Skills: Proficiency in data analysis techniques, statistical methods, and data visualisation tools. Ability to interpret data trends, patterns, and anomalies to derive insights.
  • Data Modelling Skills: Proficiency in database design principles and data modeling, providing data mappings to developers, creating and maintaining data catalogues.
  • AWS Platform Knowledge: Understanding of AWS services relevant to data analytics, such as Amazon Redshift, Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Amazon EMR, and Amazon Athena. Familiarity with data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehousing.
  • SQL and Database Skills: Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data within AWS databases like Amazon Redshift.
  • Data Visualisation Tools: Experience with tools like Amazon QuickSight, Tableau, or Power BI for dashboards and reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or equivalent in statistics, computer science, engineering, informatics, data science, or related fields; business degrees are a plus.
  • 5+ years overall experience, with at least 3+ years in data analytics projects.
  • Strong background in Business analytics.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
  • Experience with visualization tools, preferably Tableau.
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Business acumen to align data efforts with organizational goals.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze root causes and propose solutions.
  • Willingness to stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
