Job summary

Novatus is seeking a Senior Consultant in Data & AI to support the delivery of strategic transformation initiatives for financial services clients. You will work with Managers and Directors to shape, deliver, and embed data and AI solutions that enhance decision-making, efficiency, and innovation.

This role requires broad management consulting experience in FS, with a focus on data strategy and AI adoption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience in management consulting or advisory within financial services.
• Strong understanding of business strategy, operating models, and transformation delivery.
• Some hands-on experience or strong interest in data strategy, data governance, analytics-driven change, or AI adoption.
• Awareness of the modern data stack (Snowflake, Databricks, cloud platforms).
• Awareness of AI governance and responsible AI principles relevant to regulated financial services, or strong interest in developing this.
• Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Proactive, analytical, and comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
• Enthusiastic about expanding expertise in data strategy, analytics, and AI.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of data and AI transformation projects across financial services, from strategy through to implementation.
• Identify and help prioritise data and AI use cases with clients, building the business case and defining success measures for each.
• Conduct analysis, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement to help clients define and deliver data and business transformation outcomes.
• Contribute to the design of operating models, governance frameworks, and responsible AI controls that enable the effective and compliant use of data and AI.
• Assess data quality, architecture, and governance foundations to determine what clients need in place before data and AI initiatives can scale.
• Work with technical teams to help translate business requirements into data and technology solutions.
• Assist in developing proposals, presentations, and client materials that communicate insights, recommendations, and value propositions.
• Track emerging data and AI capabilities, including generative AI, and translate them into practical applications for financial services clients.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, supporting high-quality delivery and continuous learning.
• Support change management and adoption planning so that new data and AI capabilities become embedded in client ways of working, rather than one-off projects.
