Job summary

Iceland Foods are seeking an experienced Operations and Engineering Manager to join our Cyber Security team at the Deeside head office. The role blends hands-on security management with strategic leadership to protect systems and data across the business.

The successful candidate will lead a small team, drive incident response, vulnerability management and security monitoring, and collaborate with IT and business teams to improve security processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing cyber security operations in a complex IT environment.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Expertise in incident response and vulnerability management processes.
• Experience with Microsoft security technologies (Defender, Sentinel, Entra, InTune).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain operational security procedures and docs.
• Ability to define and report security metrics to show risk reduction.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day cyber security operations and monitor security posture.
• Manage a small team of security analysts and mentor staff.
• Oversee incident response, threat hunting, and vulnerability remediation.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to improve security processes.
• Develop and maintain security documentation and reporting metrics.
