Iceland Foods is seeking an experienced Operations and Engineering Manager to lead our Cyber Security team from the Deeside head office. You will head day-to-day security operations, manage a small team of analysts, and drive improvements across monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management.

Partner with IT and business teams to deliver robust procedures, meaningful security metrics, and innovative security measures that keep pace with evolving threats in a fast-moving retail

• Ability to define and report meaningful security metrics to demonstrate risk reduction and operational performance.
• Knowledge of threat intelligence and proactive threat hunting.

Iceland are looking for an experienced and dynamic Operations and Engineering manager to join our Cyber Security team. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Cyber Security and will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operational security activities that protect Iceland's systems and data. This includes managing security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and ensuring operational processes are effective and aligned with best practices. The role will also involve innovation in engineering new security measures and processes and improving those already in place. We are looking for a person who will drive changes to keep pace with the ever-evolving threat landscape in a manner which is in tune with a fast-paced food retailing business.

This is a senior and hands-on role that requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively across IT and business teams. You will manage a small team of security analysts - so you will need to get involved in the "nuts and bolts" as well as providing leadership and driving development.,

Requirements

Desirable

• Familiarity with cloud security operations (Azure and AWS).

• Experience working with Akamai, Rubrik, and GitHub Advanced Security.
• Understanding of compliance requirements and how they apply to operational security.
