Job summary

Iceland Foods is seeking an experienced Operations and Engineering Manager to lead our Cyber Security team from the Deeside head office. You will head day-to-day security operations, manage a small team of analysts, and drive improvements across monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management.

Partner with IT and business teams to deliver robust procedures, meaningful security metrics, and innovative security measures that keep pace with evolving threats in a fast-moving retail

Qualifications

• Proven experience in managing cyber security operations within a complex IT environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Expertise in incident response and vulnerability management processes.
• Expertise with Microsoft security technologies (Defender, Sentinel, Entra, InTune).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain operational security procedures and documentation.
• Ability to define and report meaningful security metrics to demonstrate risk reduction and operational performance.
• Knowledge of threat intelligence and proactive threat hunting.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operational security activities across monitoring, incident response and vulnerability management.
• Manage a small team of security analysts and contribute hands-on where needed.
• Develop and maintain robust security procedures and documentation.
• Define and report meaningful security metrics to demonstrate risk reduction and performance.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to align security with fast-paced business needs.
• Drive engineering and innovative security measures and keep pace with evolving threats.
• Ensure compliance with applicable security requirements and best practices.
