Proximity Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer for an office-based role in Northamptonshire. The position requires hands-on security experience and a degree, with responsibilities spanning identity, endpoint and cloud security, vulnerability management, and incident response.

The successful candidate will join a 220-person business as the first cyber hire and will have 5+ years of cyber experience. The role is office-based, five days a week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years cyber experience.
• Degree educated.
• Hands-on contributor in a growing fintech environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve security controls across identity, endpoint, cloud and apps.
• Review and strengthen security configurations and device compliance.
• Operate vulnerability and exposure-management processes and coordinate remediation.
• Investigate security alerts and incidents and drive improvement through exercises.
• Produce risk, incident and remediation reports and support audits.
