Job summary

QinetiQ Limited in Bristol, England, is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Consultant to lead advisory work across customers. You will perform cyber vulnerability analysis, audits, risk modelling and scenario planning to strengthen security postures.

Apply ISO27001/NIST frameworks, MITRE ATT&CK, and secure by design principles, while engaging stakeholders at all levels. The role is permanent, 37 hours weekly, primarily on-site at Corsham/Bristol with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Job Title: Senior Cyber Security Consultant

Location: Bristol, England, United Kingdom

Package: £65,700 - £73,000 (salary dependent on experience) + Benefits

As a Senior Cyber Security Consultant, you will lead across areas providing advice and support to a number of different areas in support of our customers.

Day‑to‑day, you will lead cyber security vulnerability analysis, cyber security audit processes, the generation of business risk models and providing advice and support to cyber exercise scenario creation.

Your responsibilities will include:

• The leading of the provision of advice & support to cyber exercise scenario creation in relation to the security posture, standards, regulation, vulnerabilities & attack paths appropriate to the business to meet the exercise objectives
• Leading the generation of business models and associated material in support of operational cyber security and business planning
• Taking the lead on cyber security audit processes in support of operation and business planning activity across a range of different domains against recognised standards
• Providing a rich picture of organisational maturity and risk exposure to cyber security, in support of operational and business planning activity across a range of different domains using established frameworks

Essential experience of the Senior Cyber Security Consultant:

• Digitally literate (including fluency in Microsoft Office tools)
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in security vulnerability, risk, audit & compliance
• Understand relevant NIST frameworks and ISO27001 standards and how to apply in practice
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK
• The ability to work in accordance with Secure by Design approaches
• Previous experience communicating effectively with stakeholders and customers at all levels

This role is 37 hours per week based at our Corsham site with a minimum average site attendance of three days per week.
