Job summary

Sureserve Group is seeking an experienced Senior Cyber Security Analyst to strengthen our security posture and support day-to-day Cyber Security operations. You will work with the Group Head of Cyber Resilience and Security on incidents, risk management, and governance across the organisation.

The role blends hands-on security operations with governance and stakeholder engagement, offering opportunities to influence security improvements and contribute to the wider security program.

Qualifications

• Experience in security operations, incident response, risk and vulnerability management.
• Experience investigating security alerts and incidents with security tools.
• Knowledge of Microsoft security technologies (Entra ID, Defender, CA, Sentinel).
• Understanding IAM, networking, cloud services, endpoint security and enterprise security best practices.
• Experience supporting security compliance and governance activities.
• Strong communication and ability to explain technical concepts to varied audiences.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and respond to cyber security incidents, coordinating containment and resolution.
• Monitor and improve security controls, processes and ways of working.
• Support vulnerability management activities and work with technical teams to reduce risks.
• Conduct security and risk assessments across projects, systems and third-party suppliers.
• Help maintain compliance with security frameworks such as ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials.
• Contribute to security awareness initiatives and promote a positive security culture.
• Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to provide security guidance.
• Act as a key contact within the Cyber Security team and support junior members.
