Job summary

Michael Page Technology is seeking an experienced L3 SOC Analyst or Security Engineer for a 1-year FTC role focused on cyber incident investigation, remediation, and operational security improvements. The role acts as escalation point for the external MSSP with hybrid working in the UK.

You will investigate security incidents, perform threat analysis, coordinate with external providers, implement remediation, and drive security controls and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience as a L3 SOC Analyst or Security Engineer.
• Strong security operations, incident response, and threat detection background.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK.
• Hands-on experience with end-to-end cyber security investigations.
• Experience securing cloud-based and enterprise collaboration environments.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and respond to security incidents escalated through the Security Operations function.
• Perform detailed security event analysis and identify threats requiring further investigation.
• Work closely with external security service providers to monitor, alert, and handle incidents.
• Perform hands-on remediation and provide recommendations to improve security controls and reduce risk.

Profile

• Previous experience working as L3 SOC Analyst or Security Engineer
• Demonstrated experience in security operations, incident response, threat detection
• Strong understanding of cyber attack techniques, threat actor methodologies, and appropriate mitigation strategies
• Experience in end to end cyber security investigation and hands–on remediation
• Exposure of detection engineering
• Experience securing cloud–based and enterprise collaboration environments
• Familiarity with attack frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK
