Job summary

Searchability NS&D in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior SOC Analyst to monitor, investigate and respond to cyber security incidents across critical client environments. You will analyse alerts, investigate complex threats and contribute to the SOC's ongoing maturity in a fast-paced security operation.

You will also monitor events, perform incident response activities, analyse logs and network traffic, and mentor junior analysts while collaborating with experienced cyber security

Qualifications

• Senior SOC Analyst with proven SOC experience.
• Experience monitoring, investigating and responding to incidents.
• Strong MS Sentinel and Splunk handling.
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Clear communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate security events across enterprise environments.

• Up to £70,000 package depending on experience
• Full time onsite role, shift work (4 on, 4 off)
• SC clearance required, with eligibility for DV

Their Security Operations Centre plays a vital role in protecting critical infrastructure from evolving cyber threats. Due to continued growth, they are looking to expand their SOC team with an experienced Senior SOC Analyst.

The Senior SOC Analyst Role

As a Senior SOC Analyst, you will play a key role in monitoring, investigating and responding to cyber security incidents across critical client environments. You will analyse alerts, investigate complex threats, improve detection capabilities and contribute to the ongoing maturity of the SOC.

You will also:

• Monitor and investigate security events across enterprise environments
• Perform incident response activities and support remediation efforts
• Analyse network traffic, endpoint activity and system logs
• Improve detection rules using MITRE ATT and CK techniques
• Produce technical and customer facing reports
• Support threat intelligence activities and mentor junior analysts where required
• Previous experience within a Security Operations Centre
• Strong experience with Microsoft Sentinel and Splunk
• Good understanding of the MITRE ATT and CK framework
• Knowledge of networking, TCP/IP, LAN, WAN and common internet protocols
• Experience investigating security incidents and responding to cyber threats
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Security certifications such as Security Plus, BTL1 or equivalent are desirable
• Python, PowerShell or other scripting experience would be advantageous
