Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Head of Cyber Security to lead assurance, governance and compliance across the organisation. You will ensure systems and information remain secure and compliant, guiding teams and shaping security strategy.

The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, offering a hybrid working model with occasional travel to Leeds sites. You will work with a fantastic team of cyber security professionals and contribute to patient safety through

Qualifications

  • Experience in large, complex virtualised computing environment.
  • Practical experience applying data protection legislation, standards and codes of practice.
  • Good working knowledge of the Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF).
  • Experience investigating and eliminating major virus/malware attacks within large networks.
  • Experience reviewing procedures to improve hardware and network security resilience.
  • In-depth knowledge of antivirus and vulnerability management products.
  • Strong information risk analysis and management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to communicate complex security issues to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure with competing priorities.

  • Provide Cyber Security assurance, governance and compliance across LTHT.
  • Support security resilient systems and information across the Trust.
  • Collaborate with teams to implement security improvements.
  • Lead responses to major cybersecurity incidents and threats.
  • Communicate findings clearly to senior stakeholders.

Reporting to the Cyber Security Team Lead, you will play a key role in providing Cyber Security assurance, governance and compliance across the Trust. Main duties of the job
