Job summary

Tokio Marine HCC in Manchester is seeking a Senior Cyber Development Underwriter to join the UK SME team. You will underwrite profitable cyber risks for SME/Mid‑Market clients, manage pricing, coverage, and broker relationships, with a focus on growth and quality.

Hybrid role: four days in the Manchester office and one day remote. You will partner with the UK Cyber Leader, develop the cyber product, engage brokers in person and virtually, and support renewals and new business while maintaining

Qualifications

• Extensive experience underwriting cyber business, standalone or with PI.
• Proven ability to develop business and build broker relationships.
• Strong written and oral communication and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently or with the team.

Responsibilities

There is an expectation of progression within this position as the team grows.**Key responsibilities*** Underwrite profitable cyber insurance risks for SME / Mid-Market business clients (risks up to £100m revenue), including all tasks associated with risk and coverage analysis such as pricing and contract negotiations and in line with our underwriting strategy and guidelines.* Deliver great service to brokers. Supporting the development of the Cyber product and proposition in the UK through broker engagement, both virtually and in-person.* Identify new opportunities to expand through pro-active business development and building strong relationships with Brokers. This involves physical visitation to brokers, analysis of broker production, and delivering benchmarks and metrics to broker partners.* Promote TMHCCI’s cyber capabilities in client and broker meetings, conferences and market events and establishing TMHCCI as a reliable, responsible and knowledgeable partner.* Write new business, renewals, (both open market & online referrals) as well as also supporting the Professional Risks Underwriters with Cyber policies and opportunities.**Skills and Experience Specification:****Essential:*** Extensive experience of underwriting Cyber business, either standalone Cyber or alongside PI.* Demonstrated business development skills as well as technical underwriting knowledge.* Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, brokers and internal stakeholders.* High degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with the wider team.* Excellent written and oral communication skills.* Excellent negotiation and relationship skills.* High degree of accuracy and diligence.**Desirable:*** ACII qualification or looking to progress towards this.* Strong presence within and strong understanding of the SME Cyber Market.**What We Offer**The Tokio Marine HCC Group of Companies offers a competitive salary and employee benefit package.
