Job summary

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trusts is advertising a Senior CT Radiographer role. This post is suitable for radiographers who have been qualified for at least 12 months with broad CT experience at a busy teaching hospital.

The Radiology service operates 7 days a week, 24 hours, and requires a flexible shift pattern of 12.5-hour day/night shifts over a four-week cycle. There is advanced practice in CTCs and nodules, involvement in chest reporting, and active participation in research.

Qualifications

• Degree/diploma in diagnostic radiography (Essential)
• HCPC registered (Essential)
• Wide range of radiography experience within the NHS (Essential)
• CT Experience (Desirable)
• Good communication skills and patient understanding (Essential)
• Ability to manage workload and be flexible with working hours (Essential)

Responsibilities

• To undertake imaging procedures within CT.
• To maintain a high standard of work and to strive for continual improvements in radiographic standards and patient care within the CT department.
• To achieve high quality diagnostic images within the department using the established protocols and procedures.
• To participate in the band 6 rota including out of hours shift and on-call duties as required by the CT Modality Manager.
• To assist in triaging workflow and patients and maximise departmental efficiency.
• To effectively delegate tasks to team members to manage the workload.
