Job summary

VINCI subsidiary Nuvia UK seeks a Senior CS&A Engineer in Warrington. The role requires delivering feasibility studies, option development for roof refurbishment, and producing drawings within a hybrid, staff/contract arrangement. BPSS basic clearance is required, with prior clearance non-transferable.

The candidate will lead multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate large work packages, and sustain a professional, safety-focused delivery approach across a highly regulated nuclear environment.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of experience influencing engineering practice and outcomes.
• 5 years in a highly regulated industry, with ideally 3 years in nuclear.
• 5 years engineering design experience.
• 2 years supervising engineering staff.

Responsibilities

• Deliver feasibility studies and options for Roof Refurbishment with drawings.
• Coordinate cross-discipline works to deliver complex, large work packages.
• Provide feedback and promote a professional approach to development and delivery.
• Work autonomously on engineering activities while seeking guidance as needed.

BPSS clearance will be required at basic level. Prior clearance will not be transferrable.

To undertake and input into the delivery of the feasibility study to develop options for Roof Refurbishment aligned with the draft Outline Requirements Specification already provided, including all drawing work in support of the study.

Principal Accountabilities:

• The role requires a familiarity with a wide range of technologies and techniques along with a high-level capability over a broad spectrum of technical knowledge.
• The role requires the ability to be self-driven within the specific discipline and also co-ordinate works with associated cross discipline personnel in the delivery of complex and significantly sized work packages.
• The role requires the ability to provide feedback and encouragement to engineering team and promote a Professional approach to development and delivery of work packages.
• The role requires the capability of independent and autonomous work during the delivery of complex engineering activities but will actively seek guidance from other engineers and specialists in order to augment their own understanding and further the project goals.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

• Over 5 years of experience in a role having direct influence over engineering practice and outcomes.
• 5 years’ experience of working within a highly regulated industry, 3-years’ experience should ideally have been gained within the nuclear industry.
• 5 years’ engineering design experience.
• 2 years’ experience of supervising engineering staff.
• Preferred – Bachelors Honours Engineering Degree or extensive equivalent experience.
