Nuvia UK, a subsidiary of VINCI Construction, is recruiting a Junior CS&A Engineer to support feasibility studies and options for roof refurbishment in Warrington. The role is hybrid with staff/contract arrangement and BPSS basic clearance requirement.

You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver complex work packages, demonstrate emerging design capability, and grow within a multidisciplinary engineering environment in a regulated nuclear context.

Qualifications

• Essential: Undergraduate experience preferably within the nuclear industry.
• Evidence of design capability pre graduation.
• Desirable: Working towards engineering degree or science degree.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cross-discipline works for delivery of complex work packages.
• Work autonomously during engineering activities while seeking guidance as needed.

BPSS clearance will be required at basic level. Prior clearance will not be transferrable.

To provide support and input into the delivery of the feasibility study to develop options for the Roof Refurbishment aligned with the draft Outline Requirements Specification already provided.

Principal Accountabilities:

• The role requires the ability to be self-driven within the specific discipline and also co-ordinate works with associated cross discipline personnel in the delivery of complex and significantly sized work packages.
• The role requires the capability of independent and autonomous work during the delivery of complex engineering activities but will actively seek guidance from other engineers and specialists in order to augment their own understanding and further the project goals.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

• Undergraduate experience preferably within the nuclear industry.
• Evidence of design capability pre graduation.
• Preferred - Bachelors Honours Engineering Degree or Scientific Degree (Working towards).

Desirable:

• Highly numerate and literate.
• Familiar with basic engineering technologies and techniques.
• Able to accurately follow instruction and develop concepts within clearly defined boundaries.
• Work with minimal supervision to meet clearly defined targets.
• Communicate clearly with engineering team and seek guidance whenever work scope is not clear.
• Able to support the development of cost-effective solutions to meet customer requirements as part of an engineering team.
• Working towards becoming fully conversant with company QMS.
• Aware of applicable codes and safety legislation and able to apply them under supervision.
• Undergraduate experience preferably within the nuclear industry (preferred)
