Nuvia UK, a VINCI Construction subsidiary, is seeking a Senior CS&A Designer in Warrington. The role requires comprehensive design leadership across regulated domains and coordination with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver feasibility studies and associated drawings.

Hybrid travel is offered, with BPSS basic clearance required to commence work. Senior candidates with 10+ years of design influence, nuclear industry exposure, and supervisory experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years of experience influencing design practice and outcomes.
• 5 years in a highly regulated industry, ideally nuclear (3 years in nuclear).
• 5 years’ experience supervising engineering design staff.
• HNC / HND or extensive equivalent experience preferred.

BPSS clearance will be required at basic level. Prior clearance will not be transferrable.

To support and contribute to the delivery of the feasibility study, developing project options in line with the draft Outline Requirements Specification provided, including all associated drawing work required to support the study.

Principal Accountabilities:

• The role requires a familiarity with a wide range of technologies and techniques along with a high-level capability over a broad spectrum of technical knowledge.
• The role requires the ability to be self-driven within the specific discipline and also co-ordinate works with associated cross discipline personnel in the delivery of complex and significantly sized work packages.
• The role requires the capability of independent and autonomous work during the delivery of complex engineering activities but will actively seek guidance from other engineers and specialists in order to augment their own understanding and further the project goals.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

• Over 10 years of experience in a role having direct influence over design practice and outcomes.
• 5 years’ experience of working within a highly regulated industry, 3-year experience should ideally have been gained within the nuclear industry.
• 5 years’ experience of supervising engineering design staff.
• Preferred - HNC / HND or extensive equivalent experience.
