Job summary

NUVIA UK is seeking an engineer to provide input into feasibility studies for Roof Refurbishment aligned with the given Outline Requirements Specification. The role involves self-driven work within the discipline and coordinating with cross-discipline personnel on large packages.

Ideal candidates have undergraduate experience in the nuclear industry, design capability pre-graduation, and numerate and literate skills. BPSS basic clearance is required; hybrid travel is possible across the country.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate experience preferably within the nuclear industry.
• Evidence of design capability pre graduation.
• Bachelor's Honours Engineering Degree or Scientific Degree (Working towards).
• Highly numerate and literate.
• Familiar with basic engineering technologies and techniques.
• Able to follow instruction and work with minimal supervision.
• Work with minimal supervision to meet clearly defined targets.
• Communicate clearly with engineering team and seek guidance when needed.
• Able to support development of cost-effective solutions as part of an engineering team.
• Working towards becoming fully conversant with company QMS.

To provide support and input into the delivery of the feasibility study to develop options for the Roof Refurbishment aligned with the draft Outline Requirements Specification already provided.

Principal Accountabilities:

• The role requires the ability to be self-driven within the specific discipline and also co-ordinate works with associated cross discipline personnel in the delivery of complex and significantly sized work packages.
• The role requires the capability of independent and autonomous work during the delivery of complex engineering activities but will actively seek guidance from other engineers and specialists in order to augment their own understanding and further the project goals.

Profile

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

• Undergraduate experience preferably within the nuclear industry.
• Evidence of design capability pre graduation.
• Preferred - Bachelors Honours Engineering Degree or Scientific Degree (Working towards).
• Highly numerate and literate.
• Familiar with basic engineering technologies and techniques.
• Able to accurately follow instruction and develop concepts within clearly defined boundaries.
• Work with minimal supervision to meet clearly defined targets.
• Communicate clearly with engineering team and seek guidance whenever work scope is not clear.
• Able to support the development of cost-effective solutions to meet customer requirements as part of an engineering team.

• Aware of applicable codes and safety legislation and able to apply them under supervision.
• Undergraduate experience preferably within the nuclear industry (preferred)
