Job summary

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Band 7 Clinical Lead to work across General and Cardiothoracic Critical Care Units. You will lead within critical care teams to meet patient needs and drive service delivery in line with policy and procedures.

The post involves leading and supporting staff across Trauma, Neurosurgery and complex Medical/Surgical patients, with a focus on clinical governance and excellence in patient care.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate accountability for own actions and align with Trust policies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the care of critically ill patients through the critical care pathway to ensure effective management.
• Act as a resource for staff, advising on national, local and Trust policy and procedures/guidelines.
• Ensure clinical governance is embedded in practice.
• Identify and assess complex clinical and non-clinical issues, implement resolutions and monitor/auditing outcomes.
• Ensure optimum patient management including patient monitoring and equipment management.
• Support treatment plans for patients requiring intervention including fluid resuscitation and oxygen therapy.
