Burson London, part of WPP, is seeking an experienced Issues & Crisis lead to shape global client crisis offerings within the Corporate Affairs division. You will advise senior clients, develop strategy, and manage cross‑functional teams to protect reputations during high‑stakes moments.

Based in London, you will drive new business, contribute to crisis simulations and client pitches, and mentor talent while building resilient teams.

Qualifications

Proven background in leading crisis and issues management within an agency environment.
Commercially driven and entrepreneurial with a track record of identifying and converting new business opportunities.
Skilled at managing communications across stakeholders during high-pressure moments.
Experienced in contributing crisis expertise to broader corporate or consumer communications proposals.

Responsibilities

Take a leading role in developing global and UK client crisis offering.
Support existing client work and grow revenue organically.
Be a trusted advisor to clients and provide high level strategic counsel.
Prospect for new opportunities, develop pitch responses, and grow new business.
Build the team’s visibility and reputation to win new business and attract talent.
Represent the team in specialist forums and networks and participate in speaker platforms.
Develop crisis management protocols using the latest thinking and AI.
