Job summary

NET Recruit is partnering with a highly successful organisation in Dorset to recruit a Senior Credit Controller for the finance team. You will own the debtor book, lead the credit control function and drive cash collection in a fast-paced environment.

At least two years in a supervisory role, strong communication and negotiation skills, Excel proficiency, and familiarity with ERP or accounting systems are required. CICM qualification is advantageous and development will be supported.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Credit Control, Credit Management or Accounts Receivable.
• Minimum two years in a supervisory or management capacity.
• Track record of reducing overdue debt and improving debtor days.

Responsibilities

• Leading, managing, and developing the credit control team with targets on collections and debtor days.
• Owning end-to-end credit control from onboarding to debt recovery.
• Managing the debtor book and reviewing aged debt to prioritise collection.
• Setting and reviewing customer credit limits and payment terms.
• Developing and maintaining effective credit control policies and procedures.
• Working with sales, customer service and finance to resolve payment delays.
• Producing regular debt reports and leading debt collection meetings.
• Managing relationships with credit insurers, reference agencies and external agencies.
• Taking action to recover overdue and disputed debt while maintaining customer relations.
• Monitoring credit insurance cover and protection levels.
• Providing management with debtor days, cash collection performance and risk exposure reports.
• Supporting month-end processes with accurate debtor ledger reconciliations.
