Job summary

MCFT in Maidenhead is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our Finance Team. You will manage the credit control process, chase payments and supervise two junior Credit Controllers.

You will handle high volumes of invoices, maintain Sage Intacct records and contribute to cash collection targets while supporting operations and account managers.

This role is office-based, full-time, offering a strong benefits package and a discretionary annual bonus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years credit control experience in a B2B environment.
• Experience handling high volumes and managing several hundred customers.
• Demonstrable experience in reducing DSO and achieving cash collection targets.
• Proficient with Sage Intacct.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow and ensure the credit control process is actioned to the strict process.
• Ensure the full debt collection process is smooth, accurate and timely, and that bad debt is suitably managed.
• Direct management of two Credit Controllers.
• Daily chasing for payment by telephone (high invoice and customer volumes).
• Handle a high volume of emails/calls, incoming and outgoing, promptly.
• Participate in regular debt review meetings with Operations and Account Managers.
• Send statements, payment reminders and chase escalation emails as per policies.
• Maximise cash collection to meet month-end targets.
• Log customer queries in the ERP and resolve to prevent recurrence.
• Support system and process changes and perform ad hoc tasks.
• Experience in filing customers' legal documents.
