Job summary

CV Screen is recruiting a Senior Credit Controller on behalf of a well-regarded school near Reigate, Surrey. This permanent, full-time, office-based role pays £38,000 - £42,000 plus benefits and reports to the Head of Finance.

You will take full ownership of the school’s credit control and sales ledger, ensuring fees and other income are collected promptly while delivering a professional, friendly service to parents.

Qualifications

• At least three years’ experience in credit control and sales ledger.
• Strong track record in collections, reconciliations and payment plans.
• Experience in a school or education setting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage the debtor ledger and chase overdue accounts.
• Oversee billing of tuition, boarding, activity and trip fees.
• Agree and monitor payment plans; handle debt recovery up to County Court if needed.
• Produce aged debtor reports and KPI metrics; support month-end and year-end.
• Act as main contact for parent account queries, coordinating with Admissions and Boarding.

CV Screen is delighted to be recruiting a Senior Credit Controller on behalf of a well-regarded school near Reigate, Surrey. This is a permanent, full-time, office-based role paying £38,000 - £42,000 plus an excellent benefits package. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will take full ownership of the school’s credit control and sales ledger, ensuring fees and other income are collected promptly while delivering a professional, friendly service to parents. It’s a fantastic opportunity for an experienced credit controller to run a specialist function and help shape how a respected school manages its income.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage the debtor ledger, chasing overdue accounts and keeping aged debt to a minimum
• Oversee billing of tuition, boarding, activity and trip fees, including discounts and bursaries
• Agree and monitor payment plans, and handle debt recovery up to County Court where needed
• Produce aged debtor reports and collection KPIs, and support month-end and year-end
• Act as the main contact for parent account queries, working closely with Admissions and Boarding

What Experience is Required

• At least three years’ experience in credit control and sales ledger
• Strong track record in collections, reconciliations and payment plans, with good Excel skills
• Experience in a school or education setting, Sage 200 or SIMS would be an advantage

Salary & Benefits
