Senior Credit Analyst – Corporates, London

This position is with a multinational corporate bank with offices worldwide and over $1 trillion AUM. The role involves assessing credit proposals, preparing reports, and supporting business strategies within the credit management department.

Responsibilities:

1. Assess proposals from front office departments, including research and evaluation of counterparty management, industry, transaction risk, financial accounts, cash flows, and forecasts.
2. Prepare and update credit applications, waiver requests, limit renewals, and new transaction proposals.
3. Present credit reports at Credit Committee meetings and address questions from committee members.
4. Support the first line of defense in business strategy and onboarding of new Financial Institutions and Corporate clients.
5. Monitor risk situations of borrowers and industry risks within assigned portfolios.
6. Develop and maintain financial models for monitoring credit and market signals.
7. Ensure compliance with departmental procedures.
8. Manage the CCMS approval process and coordinate with front office on timelines and expectations.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Experience in Oil & Gas portfolio is advantageous.
• Relevant professional qualifications such as MBA, ACIB, CFA, or FRM are beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of banking products and associated risks.
• Understanding of legal documentation related to banking and CCP businesses.
• Demonstrated financial modeling skills.
