Job description

A highly reputable and well-established organisation is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Credit Analyst to join its finance team. This is a newly created role offering an excellent opportunity for someone with strong systems, analytical and reconciliation skills to take ownership of a key area of the finance function. While the role includes an element of credit control, the main focus will be on revenue accounting, complex reconciliations, financial systems and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial information.

Working as part of a busy finance team, you will lead and support a small team responsible for revenue accounting across the organisation. A key part of the role will involve completing complex reconciliations across multiple revenue and operational systems, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of income recognition and cash, card and accounts receivable balances. You will investigate variances, identify discrepancies and work closely with finance, operational and systems teams to resolve issues and strengthen financial controls. You will also oversee credit control activity, support process improvements and system developments, and help ensure financial information is accurate, timely and reliable.

Ideally you will have:

  • Previous experience in Credit Analysis, Credit Control, Revenue Accounting, Accounts Receivable or a similar finance role, with strong reconciliation experience.
  • Proven experience working with multiple financial and operational systems, with the ability to understand data flows and identify discrepancies between systems.
  • Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills, with the ability to work with complex data, investigate variances and produce accurate financial reporting.
  • Experience supporting or leading a small finance team, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with finance, operational and systems teams.

In return, you will receive:

  • The opportunity to join a highly reputable organisation in a newly created role with genuine scope to make a significant impact.
  • A key position within the finance function, combining credit analysis, revenue accounting, systems and financial control.
  • A supportive and collaborative working environment where you will have the opportunity to influence processes, systems and ways of working.
  • Excellent learning and development opportunities alongside a comprehensive range of employee benefits and well-being initiatives.

If you are an experienced Senior Credit Analyst or finance professional with strong systems, Excel, data analysis and reconciliation skills, looking for a newly created role where you can lead a team and take ownership of complex financial processes, we'd love to hear from you.
