Senior Creator Marketing Manager

About the team-

CMD (Culture & Entertainment, Media and Digital) is a function which sits within the broader marketing team at Diageo but straddles other areas of the GB business (notably data, retail media and digital transformation). The function can be split into 3 key areas/teams - Activation, Planning and Culture. The Snr Creator Marketing Manager will sit within the CMD team and will play a pivotal role in building Diageo GB's expertise in creator marketing - moving it from a tactical activation into a strategic pillar of our comms planning.

About the role-

Diageo GB are looking for a Snr Creator Marketing Manager with extensive experience in delivering exceptional creator marketing plans & strategies that drive business impact. The Snr Creator Marketing Manager would join the CMD team on a fixed term basis with the ambition to accelerate growth of creator marketing in GB, leading the development of Diageo's creator marketing strategy & oversee planning and execution of creator marketing plans across some of Diageo's largest brands.

This role will require extensive leadership capabilities to own, educate and influence collaborators across the business (GB & Global) - working closely with key teams, inclusive but not limited to brand, media, social and C&E.

Role Responsibilities-
  • Be an inspiring leader and strategic consult in order to build Diageo GB's creator marketing strategy (paid, earned & organic)
  • Deliver creator marketing strategy & implement creator programs across key brands in GB (Guinness, Smirnoff and Bailey's)
  • Use pilots to create repeatable models in GB in order to drive scale at speed - test, learn & repeat
  • Work in conjunction with GBTs to create playbooks per brand with clear guidance on creator audiences
  • Develop clear M&E framework to measure creator marketing's genuine business impact (brand sentiment, uplift in search, sales)
  • Doing business in the right way - ensuring all content, processes and data are compliant and in line with Diageo Marketing Code


Experience / skills required
  • A creator marketing specialist with extensive experience, either at an agency or in house.
  • A self starter who leads vs waits for direction. Someone who can be an authoritative voice to influence key senior collaborators, but can also inspire and lead creator agencies
  • Experience in collaborating & leading across teams & agencies in service of implementing strategies and plans in service of getting results.
  • A strong business attitude in understanding what is needed to drive business impact
  • Analyse end of each campaign and pilot to understand performance in relation to brand objectives and business goals - identifying successes, takeaways and areas of improvement
  • Work closely with paid media teams (internally) as well as external partners & agencies including media agencies, Meta & Google to test, learn and create the optimal way of working
  • A strategic counsel across creator marketing - leading the transformation in GB and building GB as a pilot for Global.
  • Lead social listening across brands / categories and identify agile opportunities for our brands
  • Responsible for training & upskilling brand teams (GB marketing) on constantly evolving creator marketing landscape and how & why creator marketing needs to remain a priority channel for key brands
  • Be at the forefront of the discipline, bringing new thinking, opportunities and technologies to the business in order to stay at the forefront of the approach.
