Job summary

Project Slingshot, a global non-profit, is seeking an experienced creative editor to shape raw material into compelling narratives across documentaries, campaigns and social content. You will own edits from concept to delivery and guide pacing, structure and rhythm to grab audiences.

Based anywhere in the UK with remote work, the role reports to the Chief Creative Officer and offers GBP 45,000-50,000 per year plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Portfolio demonstrating storytelling judgement and technical craft.
• Highly experienced in Premiere Pro and confident in After Effects.
• Understands great long-form editorial and social content pacing.
• Strong instincts around music, sound design, colour, typography and pacing.
• Able to work independently with large material and set clear direction.

Responsibilities

• Find and shape stories from interviews, rushes, archive and content to build strong narrative arcs.
• Own creative edits from conception to delivery.
• Collaborate with communications, creative and marketing teams.
• Bring references, trends and ideas to the team.
• Create work that grips audiences with hooks, emotion and rhythm.
• Maintain contemporary, culturally relevant and ambitious editing styles.
• Provide craft in shot selection, pacing, music, sound design, graphics and grade.
• Explain editorial decisions clearly to senior leadership.
• Develop an editorial style that is distinctive and hard to ignore.
