Job summary

Open Role is seeking a Social Media & Content Lead for UK markets. You will own the full loop from strategy through shooting and editing to community response, tailored to a British audience and GDPR-compliant with clients.

You will work on creating original material with clients, handling comments, and determining which stories are worth telling. A portfolio is valued more than a CV, and UK hours apply across remote work from the United Kingdom.

Qualifications

• 3+ years running social for brands, agency or in-house.
• A feel for British tone; understatement and UK humor.
• You can shoot and edit; portfolio matters more than CV.

Responsibilities

• Take a brief from strategy through to shooting and editing, not to a stock library.
• Reply to the comments afterwards, because that is where the account is won.
• Write for an audience that finds overclaiming embarrassing.
• Ensure GDPR consent and tagging when user content is involved.
• Say when a trend is wrong for the client, including when it would have performed.
