HS2 Ltd seeks a Senior Counsel to lead and deliver a full range of legal services related to procurement, contract management, FOI, and insurance for the railway project. You will liaise with internal stakeholders to enable timely delivery while minimising risk and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires extensive post-qualification experience, strong negotiation and drafting skills, and the ability to manage external law firms and budgets within a large, high-stakes programme.

Qualifikationen

• Qualified solicitor with extensive post-qualification experience in high-value procurements.
• Extensive knowledge of NEC3 contracting and public procurement law.
• Experience dealing with government departments and utilities.
• Experience in managing external law firms.

Aufgaben

• Provide high quality legal support on procurement and contract management with minimal supervision.
• Attend senior level meetings on behalf of General Counsel.
• Advise internal staff on commercial law for railway projects including IP, insurance, FOI and other issues.
• Manage external solicitors and monitor cost, budgets and deadlines.
