Job Description

We are currently seeking a personable, enthusiastic, and energetic Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our rail cost management team, supporting our growth and contributing to UK infrastructure projects.

Main Purpose of the Role

You will serve as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within our UK Infrastructure division, working on various client and Turner & Townsend rail projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Establish professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and project stakeholders.
2. Administer contracts aligned with project goals and policies.
3. Monitor, forecast, and report on project costs to ensure budget adherence.
4. Manage cost variances and contract cash flow proactively.
5. Collaborate with teams to deliver project KPIs, including cost control and value engineering.
6. Manage contract changes effectively, ensuring compliance and best practices.
7. Improve forecast and budget accuracy.
8. Provide commercial support and guidance to stakeholders.
9. Negotiate and finalize final accounts.
10. Lead teams and projects as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with NEC3 contracts, preferably Option C.
• Knowledge of cost management, change control, valuation, risk management, procurement, estimating, pricing, and reporting.
• Collaborative approach and commitment to best practices.
• People management experience.
• Understanding of construction industry technical matters, procurement routes, value management, and engineering.
• Degree in a relevant field or equivalent; professional membership is a plus.
