Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Cost Engineer (Project Controls) for Energy Infrastructure in the UK. The role focuses on cost control across multiple projects, ensuring budgets, forecasts and performance data drive management decisions.

You will lead on cost data, PMB, and accruals, coordinating with the Integrated Project Team. A strong background in EVM, reporting, and cost forecasting is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Professional Project Controls experience specializing in Cost Engineering/Control.
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM), progress reporting, forecasting and performance reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Tailor cost control approaches to client needs and best practice.
• Administer and maintain cost control systems for budgets, expenditures and forecasts.
• Establish robust PMB and support change control with the IP Team.
• Develop CBS and align budgets with WBS to track costs accurately.
• Map estimates to CBS to set budgets against Work Packages and control accounts.
• Lead accrual production to reflect Actual Cost of Work Performed (ACWP).
• Support change process with cost information for change notes and forecasts.
• Update forecasts to align Estimate To Complete (ETC).
• Define cost capture requirements, WOs, PO structure and supplier data for cost monitoring.
• Align Purchase Orders with CBS for cost performance indices at project level.
• Interrogate supply chain data to drive cost accuracy and timely reporting.
• Interact with leadership when delivering cost control updates in a complex project.
