Job summary

Amentum in the United Kingdom is recruiting a Senior Cost Engineer to support key project deliverables across our nuclear project portfolio. You will work with Subject Matter Experts, Operations Managers and the Framework Service team, contributing to cost, risk and schedule decisions in a hybrid working environment between Knutsford and Warrington.

Qualifications

• Minimum of HNC/HND in Engineering or related experience.
• Good working knowledge of financial systems.
• Breadth of experience across Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation/Commissioning.
• Understand time-cost interrelationships and commercial aspects of the project lifecycle.
• Ability to reconcile cost information as it applies to programmes.
• Proficient in estimating, scheduling, programming and risk tools.
• Ability to communicate well at all management levels and produce monthly reports.
• Able to establish robust Work Breakdown Structures and project baselines.

Responsibilities

• The role will lead cost management activities for major frameworks across the Energy Division with no direct reports.
• Develop and manage framework projects to incorporate risk, change, resources and cost per Amentum requirements.
• Support hybrid working between Knutsford or Warrington offices; occasional travel to UK sites.
• Collaborate with SMEs, Operations Managers and Framework Service team to deliver projects.
• Maintain compliance with company procedures and deliver intelligent cost information and analysis.
