Job summary

Morson Edge is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Controller to manage cost reporting, budgeting and forecasting across offshore gas processing assets and infrastructure. The role requires close collaboration with asset management, finance, engineering and procurement teams to deliver reliable financial visibility and governance.

Qualifications

• Experience in Finance, Cost Control, Project Controls or Commercial Administration, ideally in oil and gas.
• Budgeting, forecasting, cost reporting and financial analysis.
• Understanding of OPEX, cost commitments, accruals and financial governance.
• Experience with Procure-to-Pay, Purchase Orders and contractor cost management.
• SAP financial reporting and VOWD expertise.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly accruals and OPEX forecasts with cost trackers for month-end reporting.
• Analyse financial data using SAP and VOWD with JREs and Finance teams.
• Oversee timewriting analysis and labour cost allocation across assets.
• Review monthly contractor cost reports against budgets and identify variances and risks.
• Monitor contract expenditure, identify cost trends and opportunities for cost optimisation.
• Support P2P processes and compliance with procurement procedures.
• Review and close Purchase Orders, ensure proper coding and approvals.
• Provide assurance on new Purchase Orders and verify procurement accuracy.
• Analyse rental equipment expenditure to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with budget holders and Supply Chain on Single Source Justification.
• Engage with engineering, procurement, finance and asset management for cost visibility.
