Spirit Energy, Barrow-in-Furness, seeks a Senior Cost Controller to drive cost control across operations, maintenance and capital spend. You will partner with the Morecambe Hub Asset, Business Partnering Lead and suppliers to ensure proactive cost management and adherence to procure-to-pay processes.

The role requires strong Excel and SAP skills, budgeting, forecasting and experience in the oil and gas sector.

Formación

• Proven experience in Finance, Cost Control or Commercial Administration.
• Experience in Operator and Contractor organisations in Oil and Gas preferred.
• Budgeting, Forecasting and Procure to Pay experience.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare monthly accruals and OPEX forecasts with cost trackers for month-end close.
• Oversee SAP data analysis (VOWD), liaising with JREs and Finance.
• Oversee time-writing analysis across assets and follow up on missing timesheets.
• Review monthly contract cost reports vs Business Plan; highlight variances and waste.
• Identify cost trends, inefficiencies, and savings opportunities across contracts.
• Support P2P: ensure PO uplifts are approved before work starts.
• Review and close Purchase Orders, ensuring accuracy and timely closure.
• Verify new POs coding and adherence to Procure-to-Pay.
• Review rental usage to reduce spend.
• Support Single Source Justification with budget owners and supply chain.
• Attend internal/supplier meetings to support cost control.
• Additional duties as required.
