Job summary

Hunter Dunning Ltd is seeking a Senior Cost Consultant to join a progressive multidisciplinary consultancy delivering large-scale residential, commercial and hospitality projects across London. You will lead cost consultancy from pre- to post-contract and mentor junior team members.

The role offers £65,000–£80,000 DOE plus discretionary bonus, 27 days holiday, pension matched up to 5%, life assurance and travel costs to sites, regular socials and CPD support, with hybrid working (3 office/site

Qualifications

• 6+ years’ experience as a Cost Consultant / Quantity Surveyor.
• Strong background in hospitality, residential, or mixed-use projects.
• Consultancy or developer experience preferred.
• MRICS/MCIOB qualified (or equivalent).
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Passion for modern methods of construction and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Manage cost consultancy services from pre- to post-contract.
• Lead and mentor junior team members.
• Oversee cost control, estimates, and procurement strategies.
• Negotiate contracts and manage supply chain engagement.
• Deliver cost reporting, valuations, and contractor payments.
• Liaise with clients and champion innovation in technology and MMC.
