Role: Senior Corporate Counsel - Intellectual Property & Artificial Intelligence

Location: The Netherlands, Germany, or the UK (Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London)


We are seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel to join our global IP team in Europe or the UK. The role offers flexibility in location, with the expectation to commute to the Amsterdam, Frankfurt, or Canary Wharf offices as needed.


You will collaborate with the IP transactions legal team and the broader global IP legal team on matters related to IP, AI, and data privacy law, including but not limited to:

  1. Provide guidance: Advise business teams on compliance requirements for AI technology and lead negotiations on AI-related contractual terms.
  2. Develop processes: Work with stakeholders to establish procedures for AI adoption.
  3. Legal interpretation: Understand and interpret AI laws in the UK and Europe and assess their impact on Infosys.
  4. Regulatory engagement: Collaborate with internal teams to engage with government regulators and agencies.
  5. Contract review: Review technical and legal aspects of service or product agreements, identify risks, and negotiate with clients, vendors, or partners.
  6. Risk management: Oversee IP, AI, and data privacy risk assessments for proprietary development projects.
  7. Technical collaboration: Work with business teams to understand technical requirements and draft legal agreements accordingly.
  8. Legal research: Stay updated on emerging AI regulations and adjust contractual strategies.
  9. Organizational support: Develop IP and AI training materials to raise awareness within the organization.

This role is dynamic and varies daily based on business needs. We seek a team player who thrives in a fast-paced, multicultural environment, and is comfortable working with offshore teams globally.


Qualifications and Skills

Essential qualifications include experience advising across European jurisdictions, flexibility, motivation, and proactive problem-solving skills. Preferably, candidates will have:

  • 8-12 years of experience in a corporate or law firm setting
  • LLB or LLM degree
  • Technical background in electronics or software (preferred)
  • Knowledge of AI technology and regulatory developments in the EU and UK
  • Experience with contracts such as MSAs, software licenses, SaaS, MOUs, etc.
  • Interest in emerging tech areas like AI, IoT, Cloud, and Security
  • Strong understanding of IP concepts including patents, copyrights, and trade secrets
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven solutions to complex legal-technological issues
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Logical reasoning and analytical skills
