Job summary

Ogier Legal Limited in Jersey seeks a Senior Associate or Managing Associate to join its Corporate team. You will provide technically excellent legal advice and manage client matters, with autonomy and collaboration with partners.

Ideal candidates have 4+ PQE, strong drafting and relationship skills, and a track record in business development. Jersey experience preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with 4+ PQE for Senior Associate; more for Managing Associate.
• Experience from a relevant law firm environment.
• Excellent drafting and written communication skills.
• Strong academic background.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality legal advice to clients.
• Manage files independently and supervise junior staff.
• Be a respected point of contact for clients and colleagues.
• Record and bill time in line with firm policies.
• Keep clients informed of fees and updates.
• Develop repeat business from existing clients.
• Identify cross-referral business opportunities.
