Job summary

The Technical Business Analyst role is on-site in Guernsey and will support the core banking transformation, new product launches, regulatory change, and integration with payments, digital channels, and downstream systems.

You will elicit, analyse, and document business requirements, translate regulatory and product requirements into functional specs, and act as SME on banking processes and lifecycle events.

Qualifications

• Banking & Financial Services experience.
• 10–15+ years as a Business Analyst/Technical BA in financial services.
• Hands-on with core banking platforms (Temenos, Mambu, Thought Machine, Finacle, TCS BaNCS, Flexcube or equivalent).
• Solid understanding of banking products and accounting principles.
• Experience supporting regulatory change and compliance-driven initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyse and document business requirements for core banking domains.
• Translate regulatory, operational, and product requirements into functional specifications.
• Act as a subject matter expert on banking processes and lifecycle events.
• Convert business requirements into detailed technical requirements (API contracts, data models, integration flows).
• Collaborate with solution architects to validate architecture and ensure alignment with target-state core banking.
• Support design of integrations between core banking systems, payment engines, digital channels and data platforms.
• Write clear, testable user stories with acceptance criteria reflecting business and technical needs.
• Support SIT, UAT and operational readiness testing.
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions with operations and support teams.
