Job summary

Talk Staff Group Limited is recruiting an Assistant Head of Conveyancing to support the Head of Conveyancing, lead a team of conveyancers, and manage a diverse residential caseload. The role is based at the Oxfordshire office with travel to other branches, offering strategic leadership and client-focused service. Expect strong people-management, AML and Lexcel compliance oversight, and collaboration across departments to drive growth.

Qualifications

• Qualified as Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or Chartered Legal Executive with substantial conveyancing experience.
• Proven track record in handling residential conveyancing matters.
• Experience leading a team, mentoring staff, and driving performance.
• Strong client relationships and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Conveyancing with day-to-day management of the department.
• Manage a varied caseload of conveyancing transactions, including residential matters.
• Provide guidance and support to Conveyancing Team members.
• Deliver high levels of client service daily and build professional relationships with clients and peers.
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to enhance service offerings.
• Conduct performance and file reviews within the department.
• Lead department initiatives in the Head of Department's absence.
• Assist with proactive marketing and business development of the department.
