G2legal is partnering with a respected South Coast law firm in West Sussex to recruit a Senior Conveyancer / Head of Conveyancing. The role offers autonomy to build a modern residential conveyancing function while maintaining client service excellence.

You will lead the team, shape processes, ensure compliance and profitability, and work closely with the Principal on departmental growth and strategy. This is a genuine leadership opportunity with a clear path to influence systems, workflow

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Legal Executive or experienced Conveyancer
• Minimum 5 years' residential conveyancing experience
• Strong technical knowledge across all aspects of residential property transactions
• Commercial awareness and understanding of departmental profitability
• Organised and process-driven approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Comfortable balancing fee earning with leadership responsibilities
• Positive, pragmatic and professional attitude

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion
• Handling freehold, leasehold, new build and lender matters
• Supervising and overseeing conveyancing processes and quality standards
• Developing and improving workflows and operational procedures
• Managing compliance and risk management matters within the department
• Building and maintaining relationships with local estate agents and referrers
• Assisting with the recruitment, development and mentoring of future support staff
• Working directly with the firm's leadership team on departmental growth and strategy
