Job summary

Rivan Industries in London seeks a seasoned control systems leader to own functional safety and scale distributed control systems across pilot deployments and future fleets.

You will standardise PLC/SCADA patterns, design scalable architectures, and develop fleet-wide monitoring with remote diagnostics. HQ Bermondsey, relocation support, private health insurance, and substantial share options are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience leading design, commissioning and lifecycle ownership of distributed control systems in hazardous/high-energy processes.
• Experience implementing safety functions under IEC 61508 and related standards.
• Systems compliant with LVD, Machinery Directive, CE/UKCA.
• Proficient with IEC 61131-3 (ST/LD/FBD/Codesys) and HMI development.
• Able to integrate and troubleshoot Modbus TCP/RTU, CANbus and OPC-UA across multi-site systems.

Responsibilities

• Own functional safety and risk controls (HAZOP/HAZID, Cause & Effect, Fault Tree).
• Manage performance and reliability of deployed control systems.
• Design scalable control architectures from pilot to thousands of deployments.
• Standardise PLC, SCADA and telemetry patterns across sites.
• Develop remote diagnostics and fleet-wide monitoring capabilities.
