Job summary

Fidelis Resourcing Limited is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to design electrical control systems, develop PLC software, and support bespoke automated machinery projects. You will spend time on-site with customers and at the Northwest HQ, delivering end-to-end solutions.

The role requires proven electrical controls experience in automation or machinery, knowledge of PLCs (Allen Bradley/Siemens/Mitsubishi), and willingness to travel internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience of electrical controls within automation or machinery, ideally in food packaging or FMCG.
• HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of PLC programming software (Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Siemens and/or HMI).
• Willingness to travel to spend time on-site with customers in the UK and overseas.
• Hybrid working: split time between customer on-site visits and Northwest HQ.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical control systems and develop software for bespoke machinery.
• Support machine commissioning and on-site installations with customers.
• Lead testing and document procedures and manuals.
• Provide on-site training and guidance to installation teams.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships across the business.
