Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment in Aylesbury is seeking a Principal Controls Engineer, offering training on Mitsubishi PLCs and exposure to smoke control, ventilation and general-purpose applications. You will design, program and commission control systems with PLCs, HMIs and IO modules, and provide technical support throughout projects.

This senior role requires experience in control system design, programming and commissioning, and willingness to travel to sites.

Qualifications

• Experience across control system design, programming and commissioning.
• Strong experience with PLC-based control systems.
• Willingness to travel to sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design control systems for smoke control, ventilation and general-purpose applications.
• Program PLC-based control systems and IO modules.
• Commissioning and testing control systems on-site.
• Troubleshooting and modifying control systems.
• Provide technical support from design through to customer handover.
