Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Controls Engineer in Warrington with PLC programming and configuration expertise, offering a clear path to become a Systems Engineer through structured training.

You will work on bespoke distributed control systems for industrial automation across sectors, travel nationally and offshore for commissioning approximately one week per month, with hybrid working up to 3 days home per week and a generous package.

Qualifications

• Experience in PLC programming and configuration for distributed control systems.
• Familiar with RTU or SCADA programming.
• Willing to travel nationally and stay away for 1 week per month.

Responsibilities

• Programming and configuring distributed control systems for industrial automation.
• Training on DCS programming and configuration.
• Managing complex projects and acting as the face of the business.
• Hybrid working with up to 3 days at home per week.
• Travel nationally and offshore to sites for commissioning up to one week per month.
